MTH 157 Intro to Statistics
Students who complete this course with a passing grade will receive a 3 hour credit from Dabney S Lancaster Community College.
MTH 157 Presents students with elementary statistical methods and concepts including descriptive statistics, estimation, hypothesis testing, linear regression, and categorical data analysis
We will begin with a discovery of statistic vocabulary and understanding the purpose of collecting different types of data. We will also learn what can be derived by collecting this data.
We are currently working on section II (scatterplots and the line of best fit).
The textbook we are using for this course is Intro Stats by De Veaux, Velleman and Bock.
